Meet the Doctors at Family First Primary Care

Drs. Curtis, Gardner, and Tang have been providing comprehensive care for the entire family in the Wake Forest and North Raleigh area for a combined total of over 30 years. We have decided to venture out on our own and form an independent, private practice. We believe this move will allow us to care for you and your family in a more individualized way.   Our goal is to offer community oriented, quality, convenient, and personalized care. We hope you will join us in this exciting new journey and continue to allow us the privilege of caring for you and your family.
Dr. Grace Tang of Family First Primary Care

Dr. Grace Tang

Dr. Grace Tang did her undergraduate work at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She studied medicine at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and did her Family Medicine training at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, MD. She grew up mostly in Canada and Maryland. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She practices the broad spectrum of family medicine. She particularly enjoys preventive healthcare and women’s health issues. She has practiced in the Wake Forest and North Raleigh area for over 10 years. She and her husband Brian have an awesome, but stubborn border terrier, Sandy. In her free time, Dr. Tang loves to travel, workout (sometimes), and craft.

Dr. Rob Gardner of Family First Primary Care

Dr. Robert Gardner

Dr. Gardner did his undergraduate training at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He did his medical and residency training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Gardner has practiced in the Wake Forest area for 8 years and grew up in North Carolina. He enjoys a broad scope of practice including, chronic illness, preventive medicine, and sports medicine. Some of his interests outside of medicine include running, playing and listening to music, and travel. Dr. Gardner enjoys spending time with his family. He lives in Raleigh with his wife Danielle and twin daughters.

Dr. Tom Curtis of Family First Primary Care

Dr. Thomas Curtis

Dr. Thomas Curtis is a native of Newburgh, NY and a graduate of Texas Christian University and Texas College of Osteopathic medicine in Fort Worth, TX. He completed his residency training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, after which he practiced family medicine in Myrtle Beach for five years. Dr. Curtis has been a physician in the Wake Forest area for the past 14 years. His medical interests include diabetes, hypertension, musculoskeletal issues and general health maintenance. He is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Curtis lives in north Raleigh with his wife, three children and his dog, Copper. His interests outside of the clinic include hiking, travelling and  live theater.

Lyndsey Bennett

Lyndsey Bennett is our new Family Nurse Practitioner. Adding a new provider to the practice will offer our existing and new patients more availability and flexibility for same day appointments as well as physicals. We have also welcomed a new medical assistant, Joelle! Lyndsey and Joelle are a great team and are a wonderful addition to the Family First practice.

Lyndsey is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She worked as a registered nurse in the ICU and medical/surgical units at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Watauga Medical Center and Carteret General Hospital. She was accepted into the Masters of Nursing program and completed her degree in December 2016. She grew up in Connecticut and moved to Wilmington in 2002. Lyndsey enjoys sports medicine, women’s care and has a particular interest in acute care. Outside of providing family-based primary care, Lyndsey enjoys surfing, watching hockey, playing guitar and traveling. She now lives in Raleigh with her husband and their two dogs, Matix and Colt.

Services Provided

Care for children ages 2 and up, teens, adults and geriatrics
Wellness exams, including adult physicals, gynecological exams and pap smears
Care for chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, obesity, depression and many more.
Well child checks
Acute care services including flu, colds, strep throat, gastrointestinal illnesses
Biometric Screening
Sports physicals
Minor procedures including joint injections, minor skin procedures (wart removal, skin tag removal, skin biopsies), treatment of ingrown toenails.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
The office is closed for lunch daily from 12pm to 1pm
